You can still get deals on Pixel devices as part of Google's New Year sale

If you want to save money on the Pixel Watch 3, Fitbit Charge 6, and other Google gadgets, the clock is ticking. The company is kicking off the new year with a strong New Year's sale, which ends today (January 18) at 11:59 PM PT. Other retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, are currently matching Google's pricing in some cases, though we expect matching promotions to expire at the same time.

In terms of smart watches, Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 — The latter is still our favorite “Fitbit” — has dropped to its second-highest price to date. The Wi-Fi-enabled Pixel Watch 2 is $199.99 ($50 off) at Google, Best Buy, and Target, while the 41mm Pixel Watch 3 is $299.99 ($50 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store Dollar).

Both wearables come with Google and Fitbit-powered features, including FDA-cleared EKG, automatic workout tracking, and support for Google Assistant, Gmail, calendar, and wallet. However, the previous-generation Pixel Watch 2 only came in a single size - 41mm - while last year's Pixel 3 also had a larger 44mm configuration.

The Pixel Watch 3 also comes with a number of other welcome improvements, including offline Google Maps, slightly longer battery life, AI-generated workout suggestions, and deeper integration with other Google devices. For example, you can use the Pixel Watch 3 to view a Nest Doorbell or Nest Cam feed, or control your Google TV directly from your wrist—both of which are not available on the Pixel Watch 2.

Pixel Watch 2 provides 24 hours of reliable use on a single charge with always-on display enabled. It offers the same Qualcomm processor as the new Pixel Watch 3, along with multipath health sensors, Wear OS 5 compatibility, and a host of popular security features.

Google's new Pixel Watch 3 is bigger and brighter than its predecessor. It also has more advanced operating features, offline Google Maps capabilities, and deeper integration with other Google devices.

If you prefer a cheap fitness tracker to a smartwatch, Fitbit Charge 6 It's also available at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store for $129.95 ($30 off), which is about $30 above its all-time low.

Like its predecessor, this fitness band is equipped with a variety of sensors to keep tabs on your health, and features built-in GPS and a brightly colored OLED display. However, unlike its predecessor, the Fitbit Charge 6 has an improved heart rate algorithm and can be paired with certain fitness equipment via Bluetooth. Of course, it doesn't support as many Google services as the Pixel Watch 3, but you can take advantage of Google Wallet and turn-by-turn directions via Google Maps.

Fitbit Charge 6 features tactile side buttons, improved heart rate algorithms, turn-by-turn navigation with Google Maps, and the ability to broadcast heart rate on some Bluetooth fitness equipment.

In addition to fitness trackers and smartwatches, Google is also offering discounts on several pairs of wireless headphones. Now you can buy Pixel Buds Pro 2 Amazon, Google, and Best Buy are selling it for $199 ($30 off), which is still their second-best price yet. Google is also bundling them with the Pixel Watch 3 for $441.99 (a $58 discount) or the Fitbit Charge 6 for $130.95 (a $29 discount).

Google's latest wireless headphones are a top choice for Pixel phone owners. They feature powerful noise reduction and a lighter design than previous models, which makes them more comfortable to wear. They also offer some Google-specific perks, giving you direct access to Google's Gemini AI assistant and tracking of the charging case via the company's recently revamped Find My Device network. The earbuds also continue to support many Pixel-exclusive features, including head-tracking spatial audio.

Google has reportedly canceled its next-generation Pixel tablet, which is a shame — after all, the first generation showed a lot of promise. This snappy Android tablet is great for typical tablet tasks like video chatting and streaming, thanks in part to the crisp 11-inch display and excellent speaker array. Where this tablet really stands out, though, is the optional magnetic charging dock, which enhances the tablet's sound and turns it into a makeshift smart display. This means you can use the tablet as a digital photo frame, view Nest Doorbell messages, or control a range of smart home devices via Google Assistant.
