The current Women’s Champion grew up two rivers in the eastern part of Queens, New York, but in Garden State, especially under the wrestlers in Union City, her legs were under her.

"I trained in Ace Arena in Jersey for a while," Vega shared in a recent interview. "AJ Lee and I actually trained in Jersey, which also helped prepare me for the role, if I were to be honest, play her in a fight with my family. I only met her then, applied it now, and saw everything about it."

“But yes, I spent a lot of time training in New Jersey and the whole New York/New Jersey feels, that’s exactly what I’ve been here all the time.”

After Wrestlemania 41, Vega won the U.S. Women’s Championship against Chelsea Green. Added a title to the menu, another chance to have a full list of women on "Smackdown". The RAW lineup has a women's intercontinental championship.

Vega previously told Fox News Digital that she hopes WWE will add a mid-card title to the fold, and now she has a belt - the first singles champion of her career.

"It felt great... When I was growing up, I just wanted to be a part of it," she said. "Of course, I wanted to be a champion. When I was a kid, I thought about this huge thing and I was like, 'I'm going to be a champion, and that's going to happen to me.' I didn't see Plan B.

"Now, you've not only done it, not only as a champion, but as a part of history. The first queen of all time, like I never thought it would happen. So, proving her right feels like the most amazing feeling."

Vega is as confident as ever, she will enter Summerslam as a champion, and also advises young girls looking up to her.

"It's, never give up on you because you'll have a lot of NOS, you'll have a lot of people giving you so much reason why you shouldn't be a champion, why you shouldn't take it where you want it," she explained to Fox News Digital. "But no one will stop you as long as you don't give up on you.

"You won't 'no' for the answer, nor will you give up on yourself. If I could do that, I could stand here as a champion here, and it should prove in the minds of many that your own determination is to bring you where you need it."

"It's our first two night summer, and it's crazy because it's usually just WrestleMania," she said. "It's a lot of buzz. It's amazing the whole week because it's where I grew up.
