Northern Ireland's Mark Allen took a 147 break in the 13th frame of the second round against Chris Wakelin.
This only made him the 11th player, earning 147 in the Crucible. The highest is the 15th place in the history of the tournament and the first since Selby cleared in the 2023 final.
Allen, who was 10-2 behind in the game at the time, continued to lose 13-6 to Weckling's qualifiers.
The first round was the best match of 19 frames.
The second round and quarterfinals will have a maximum of 25 frames.

Zhao returned to the sport as an amateur player in September after being suspended for a match scandal in the match and was one of the 10 Chinese players involved in the first round.
