New York Attorney General Letitia James suffered brief disruption at a city hall held Thursday night when obvious supporters of President Donald Trump stood up to challenge her to apologize to the president.
Although panelists have been expressing the key points of the left’s conversation all night, and the room is composed primarily of anti-Trump people, a clear Trump supporter stood up and asked James a question.
"My question is Tish James. Will you apologize for President Trump wasting millions of dollars and New York State for a witch trial?" the man asked. "How does it feel to know you (to go) to jail to cheat with mortgages?"
The crowd erupted and the man was escorted out.

Although she didn't respond directly to the man, James did yell "Thank you for coming."
James is a Democrat, most notably filed lawsuits against Trump and his multiple family members, as well as colleagues and businesses, and alleged “many fraud and false statements” about financial statements.
The fines were later dropped sharply despite Trump being ordered to pay $454 million in civil compensation.
In response, Trump called James a part of his “witch hunting” for a dime for the taxpayer.
After that, the Justice Department conducted a criminal investigation into James.

The news of the federal investigation follows a criminal referral by William Pulte, director of the Trump administration’s Federal Housing Finance Bureau. He asked the Justice Department to investigate James' allegations that she misunderstood a single-family home in Virginia as her primary residence for more favorable loan terms.
She has also been accused of misrepresenting the number of livable units in multiple Brooklyn homes to get better loan terms.
In April, New York City Attorney Pierre Debbas told Fox News Digital that James might not have been in court for a few years if James's crime referral was made.

"To be honest, it's ridiculous that the attorney general case filed against Donald Trump is a pure manipulation of the legal system," he said.
"Frankly, this is a retaliatory case that the president has done for him in the past few years," he continued. "For politically driven purposes, something that has never happened in New York history."
