Three players were like their coach said after Oregon beat Oregon in the Oklahoma Women’s University World Series.
Cool, calm and collect.
Sam Landry surfaced, Isabela Emerling hit a home run, and Cydney Sanders added two more in Sunday's knockout round to beat the Ducks 4-1 and held a meeting with Texas Tech on Monday.
If the Sooners win the night, the two will face off immediately in the winner’s all-out match, with the winner participating in three best championship series.
This is Landry, Sanders and Emerling have to say after beating Oregon.
Honestly, I think being there today is an important factor for me. I don't think it's any different from other moments. But, I don't know, it's cool. I've never done it before, especially in the World Series. So awesome. I've never seen it before. This is exciting. It doesn't look like it on TV or anything else. But I was excited inside.
Just partitioning in the strike area. It didn't really make it too big. I think I've accepted a very big hack. I told myself to relax and not try to do too much, just try to pass the bats to my teammates. In the end, that's it.
I think, I don't want to talk to Katie, but I think she looks really good. She came there with confidence. It's fun to be behind people like this. I think she kind of likes what I can do today. After that, she definitely set up all the batsmen to point at my pitch. Physically, I feel good. Psychologically, I feel good. We are ready to set off.
I don't even think many girls on the team know me about his history and many girls there. God can really put us all in the same place and be able to play. After the competition, we will hold a family gathering. We do a job here. Very excited about them, excited about this team.
I think I'm a completely different pitcher, guy, player, player the same thing as when I was in Louisiana. We will still work like any other game. Get scouts in them, find some holes and pass. Just keep it like any other game, don't keep it too big.
Honestly, if I were honest, I wouldn't even know it was a 3-2. I just treat it as a zero number. I just want to rely on squash and play. Not really considering the number of jobs. Just want to see a ball and hit the ball. It's not just about making a strategy, it's about luck today.
Lots of spins. That was indeed two years ago. I'm trying to live in the present moment. I have to watch the movie again to really look back and see what my bat looks like. Just trying to keep it simple and keep the same mindset, rather than really trying to do too much.
I think it's just drying it. No matter how you look at it, each game is different. Whether you face them two years ago, the day before, I think everyone can make a difference. I think it's just slowing down and having a mindset, self-confidence. I think we can go a long way.
I agree with what CYD said. Just clean slate. We have to shoot movies on every pitcher’s face. No matter what team it is. It's just a new challenge.
We are praying when we are with the team at the end of the game. We are just thanking God for letting us enter this moment and starting the sport on the day He brought it. He is the fourth person we have in the fire, he is there to support a lot of people and we are so glad we are able to be part of the story that can glorify him.
