Famous people in the entertainment are celebrating for men’s and black styles, the biggest night of the year in the fashion industry.
Pharrell Williams and Lewis Hamilton are co-chairs of this year’s event, which raised funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Academy.
The annual party is held in New York City and is usually attended under the huge name of the film, fashion and music.
Here's everything you need to know before Met Gala 2025.
Met Gala’s theme is often associated with the latest exhibition at the Costume Academy, which is Super Elf this year: tailored black style.
It was inspired by Monica L Miller's Fashion: Styles of Black Dandyism and Black Diasporic Identity, published in 2009.
This year’s Met Gala dress code is “tailored for you”, a reference to the suits and men’s clothing featured in the exhibition.
In fact, this is the first metropolitan festival focused on men's clothing in more than two decades.
"This year's theme is not only timely, but also talks about our rich culture and should always be celebrated extensively," said Usher, a member of the Gala committee.
There are many references to expect both male and female guests, namely the role played by the black style over the past few centuries, especially in men’s clothing.
The Metropolitan Museum says the show "demonstrates black-style cultural and historical exams through the Playboy's perspective from the 18th century to today."
Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who oversees the evening every year, will join 2025 Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky and LeBron James.
The event's chairing committee also celebrates black talent, including athletes Simone bilefilm director Spike Leeactress AvailablePop Deehii, Usher, Tyla, Janell Monáe. and Andre 3000author Chimamanda Leather Add and playwright Jeremy O Harris.
The Metropolitan Gala is always held on the first Monday of May - using the title of the 2016 documentary about the event.
This year, that means it happens in Monday, May 5the guests come from about 18:00 East (23:00 BST).
It might be a bank holiday in the UK, but it will be a very busy day for designers, PR staff and PAS, who will be in their busts and ready for the stars to walk the big stairs.
Although the public has never seen the event itself, guests can enjoy dinner, cocktails, live music there, and browse the long red carpet event in a new exhibition at the Costume Academy, ensuring acres of media coverage in advance.
The guest list wasn't released in advance, but you can certainly expect to see a lot of A-Listers that night.
Unless you are a New York resident plan to stand behind an obstacle across from the museum, your best bet is to watch it online.
Vogue will conduct real-time activities on digital platforms including YouTube.
American audiences will be able to watch on Peacock and E! Online, although countless news outlets will be live streaming on social media platforms such as Instagram and Tiktok.
You can also follow on the LIVE blog on the BBC News website.
But, honestly, when you turn on your social media feed on Tuesday morning, photos and videos at night will be inevitable, so if you go to bed in the UK, you don't have to watch for coverage when you wake up.
No, I'm sorry to the Huns.
Met Gala is an exclusive event that is open to only a few invited guests - usually around 450.
Often, the biggest brands buy tables and use it to host the celebrities they need. Tag benefits if celebrities are associated with them and wear a piece of clothing on the red carpet.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Clothing Academy. It is understood that the price of individual tickets is about $75,000 (£56,000), while the 10-seat table starts at $350,000.
But at least A-Listers doesn't have to deal with dynamic pricing.
