House Republicans are still fighting for President Donald Trump’s huge taxes and border bills, which all Democrats oppose. The legislation includes significant boosts to immigration enforcement and funding for the military, as well as extensions of Trump’s 2017 tax cuts due at the end of this year and pays for reduced food aid, clean energy funds and Medicaid. The president traveled to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to urge Republicans to stop negotiations and pass the bill. NBC's Garrett Haake reported today.
