West Virginia Mountaineer Football Program continues to add fragments to the lineup, the latest is the promise of Western Iowa CC 2025, running back to Cyncir Bowers.
At 5-foot-10 and 184 pounds, Bowers spent a season in Western Iowa where he passed the ball for 155 times for 1,008 yards and 12 touchdowns. The average is 6.6 yards per carry.
The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania local also dragged 363 yards on 24 passes and made two more touchdowns.
For his efforts, Bowles was appointed to the ICCAC First Team Plenary List.
The running colleges and universities officially visited West Virginia from May 8 to 10 and offered another option for the climber football team to rebuild the backcourt.
Bowles collects scholarships for many programs, including West Michigan, Old Rule, Troy, Louisiana-Mono, Georgia, Berthen-Cookman and many other programs.
Powers has at least three years of qualification in his career.
Bowers, the third guard since the end of Spring Football, joined the SMU transfer, running back to Jaylan Knighton and Ferris State Transfer running back to Kannon Katzer.
WVSPORTS.COM breaks the Bowers’ commitment and what it means to the West Virginia Mountaineer Football Program, now and in the future.
Skill Set:
Powers is equipped with good speed and face-to-face. It seems that he can sometimes turn on the jet and hit the hole with a small wasteful move, sometimes hitting the cannon. Once he entered the open field, Bowles had a hard time grabbing from behind and showed a solid contact balance when hit.
Bowers' head coach Rich Rodriguez took advantage of the ideal choice for head coach Rich Rodriguez, which was very efficient in running out of shotguns and often picked up large chunks of yards.
The show will turn into a drastically improved ability, how he bounces outside or cuts inside and follows his blocker, and then lets his speed guide him down off the field.
Additionally, a good reception option is in the backcourt, where Powers can use Powers in a variety of ways offense, and can even return as a kick for a special team. As a backcourt option, he is a real threat and brings exciting skills to the table.
Bowles needs to adapt to the highest level, but his films are certainly impressive for late juniors at this stage of the off-season.

Suitable for this program:
Now, West Virginia can play up to seven players in the running room and add Powers, but two of them will disappear after the upcoming season and in the qualifying junior year, there are two more players. Bowers is a powerful addition, and its qualifications still have a lot, meaning that while he can play time this season, there is a path to a bigger role if it doesn't work immediately.
Pennsylvania native already has roots in this area of the country so the transition won’t be sharp, and he offers another fast backfield option for the program to compete immediately. West Virginia didn’t play in terms of lineup transformation, and Powers is another example.
Recruiting this position:
West Virginia has now reselled the guard room after several players left at the end of the spring, but when you think they're done with another job in the climber's position. Obviously, competition has become a major focus of the overall situation, and although seven defenders seem to meet the needs on the spot, it is not guaranteed here.
This coaching staff has been aggressive and even if the numbers get tighter, you can’t really rule out any further settlement of any position this offseason.
