Facing the wild face gives you an in-depth understanding of the thoughts and lives of high school student-athletes in the Austin area. Today we feature Weiss Golfer Diego Flores, who wants to travel the world and hear rap music to be hyped.
Tell you something most people don't know.
I don't think some people know that I'm a competitive athlete. I also played on Weiss’ football team and my dad (Josue Flores) was a football coach and our golf coach. I participated in the semi-finals of three (basketball) championships.
Tell me some of your bucket list.
I really want to travel the world. I have been to many areas in Canada and Mexico and in the United States, but I am very interested in going abroad.

What is your best vacation?
My favorite holiday is a trip to Seattle. I love the culture, viewpoint, weather and atmosphere of the area. I'm also a fan of seafood.
If you could attend any concert, who would you see?
Kendrick Lamar will be the one I hope to see. I love the stories his music sounds like to tell him.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I want to pursue a business degree and hope to continue playing golf.
What is Weiss’ favorite golf memory?
In last year’s regional championship, we had the opportunity to stay at Waco and become a team blast by playing golf, eating out and getting into golf.
Do you have a pre-ritual?
Listening to music always makes me hype and prepare to play. I heard about rap music, sometimes from the 80s and 90s. Like Ice Cube, Naz, the infamous large man.
Does golf teach you any courses you use in your daily life?
Golf is a mental game that teaches me a lot about learning to fight adversity and also focuses on doing well in the next game, holes, swings, and more.
If you could have dinner with four people in world history, who would they be?
I want to invite Adam Sandler, Dana White, Connor McGregor and Kevin James.
Why Conor McGregor?
He looks like he will be a great guy to join him in telling the story of his achievements as a UFC fighter and businessman.
You are responsible for the meal. What are you serving?
Beef ribs from Franklin BBQ. They are located on top of the best barbecue places. It’s also fun to meet new people from different parts of the world when you’re waiting in line.
