It is Versant’s turn to spin(co.) you.

The portfolio of misfit NBCU cable channels announced its first programming slate since being announced as SpinCo. and refined into Versant. The 2025-26 TV season will feature “bold originals, blockbuster sports and iconic live events,” the Versant publicity team said Monday in a press release.

E! alone announced five new unscripted series at the NBC upfront, Syfy and USA Network each unveiled one new scripted series, and Oxygen’s got a killer pair of freshman shows. Wait, let us rephrase that last bit: Oxygen has two freshman shows about killers. TBD on how good they are.

All told, Versant pitched 16 new originals to a ballroom full of advertisers at Radio City Music Hall.

“Our audiences are among the most devoted in the industry, and their passion fuels everything we do,” said Val Boreland, president of entertainment for Versant. “By uniting the power of our iconic brands with a commitment to bold, original storytelling, we’re deepening our connection with viewers in meaningful ways. We’re proud to unveil this exciting new programming slate as we move forward under our new name.”

Since the launch of the Dr. Phil show in 2002, some participants claim to have been misguided by the series, which was once revered for its “no nonsense” approach. Now those who allegedly fell victim to the promises of the show are speaking out about their experiences and the fallout of being used as TV fodder for millions of viewers.

Revival — Premieres Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

When local Officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect. The series is based on the Revival comic series. Cast includes Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen.

The Boston Stranglers — Premieres winter 2026

Sixteen hours of the Boston Strangler’s lost confession tapes have emerged, offering an exclusive and unfiltered account of how Albert DeSalvo evaded police and got away with murdering 13 women…or did he? The unreleased tapes call everything into question. While Boston PD remains steadfast that DeSalvo was the killer, a trove of exclusive access possibly suggests otherwise. The Boston Stranglers is a two-hour documentary about one of the most infamous serial killings in American history, the murders that remain officially unsolved to this day, and a confession that has never been released until now.
