Kiev, Ukraine - Ukrainian authorities said Russian attacks on Ukraine continued on Monday, including overnight attacks using more than 100 drones, despite proposals from Europe and Ukraine that Russia does not agree to comply.
Leaders of four major European powers traveled to Kiev on Saturday and demanded an unconditional 30-day ceasefire starting Monday. Russian President Vladimir Putin secretly rejected the proposal and instead made direct Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul, saying he said there was a possibility of causing a ceasefire.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said late Sunday that the offer for the ceasefire was still on the table and he was still waiting for a response from Moscow, but Ukrainian troops would respond friendly if Russia touted it.
The Air Force said in morning readings that Ukraine began with 108 long-term combat drones starting at USET (4 p.m. ET) and began an hour after the ceasefire began. This attack unfolds within a few hours because drones fly much slower than missiles.
“As of 08:30 (1:30 a.m. ET), 55 Shahed attacks (drone) have been confirmed… shot down in the east, north, south and center of the country.” He added that another 30 radar losses were lost, causing no damage.
The governor of the region said a woman was injured overnight in the small port city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk in the Black Sea region.
Russia also fired guided bombs to targets in the northeast Kharkif region and northern Sumi region, the Air Force said.
The Ukrainian railway company said a Russian drone hit a civilian freight train in the east.
"The armistice proposal was ignored and hostile attacks on railway infrastructure and rolling stocks continue," it wrote in a statement on Telegram.
It says. It added: "His life is no longer in danger at this time."
The huge front-line game status is not clear. The military has not yet conducted a reading, which is specifically for the midnight period.
Both Russia and Ukraine are trying to show us President Donald Trump, who are working to achieve the goal of rapid peace in Ukraine, while trying to make the other side look like the saboteurs he is working on.
Kiev is desperate to unlock more U.S. troops from Trump's predecessor, Joe Biden. Moscow feels a chance to get rid of barriers to economic sanctions and interact with the world's largest economy.
Meanwhile, Europe is trying to maintain good relations with Trump, despite his tariffs, hoping it will convince him to fall more vigorously after his cause in Ukraine, which they believe is crucial to the security of the continent.
A group of European foreign ministers and head of EU foreign policy Kaja Kallas will hold talks in London on Monday.
If the truce is violated, leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Poland threatened Russia on Saturday, despite violating the truce, it is unclear what firepower they can call in this area in the near term.
Putin refuted what he said was trying to put down the "last atums". His Foreign Ministry clarified that the root causes of the conflict must be before discussions on the ceasefire.
As Russian troops move forward, Kremlin chiefs have so far rarely provided (if any). Russia said the ceasefire would allow Ukraine to breathe and rebuild its troops.
Zelenskyy originally coincided with the U.S. prime time in Putin's television statement on Sunday, which took place this Thursday in Istanbul.
But Ukrainian leaders challenged the head of the Kremlin on Thursday to meet in Istanbul on Thursday after Trump told Zelenskyy that he agreed to Putin's proposal "immediately."
But it's unclear if Putin means he will attend in person. Putin and Zelenskyy have never met again since December 2019, and there is no secret of their contempt for each other.
