Ukraine says Russia attacks on the front line on Thursday, calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin's three-day truce orderhe said it will take effect Thursday morning, a "farce".
The Russian army said it was a response to the Ukrainian attack, but observed the truce, Putin unilaterally ordered a large-scale march in Moscow, with Mark Victory Day, Russia's history of the Soviet Union's 1945 defeat of Nazi Germany invading forces.
Putin's honorary guest this year is Chinese President Xi Jinping, who was already in Moscow before the Victory Day event. He is the most powerful of several world leaders who show that despite international sanctions and widespread condemnation of Putin's so-called Ukraine's "special military operation"Russian leaders do have friends.
"It is predictable that Putin's 'marching ceasefire' proved to be a farce," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said on Thursday. "Russian forces continued to attack across the front line. From midnight to noon, Russia carried out 734 ceasefire violations and 63 attacks."
Sibiga said Ukraine will respond with its allies and share all information.
Although Kyiv never agreed to a three-day truce, Russia accused Ukraine of violating Ukraine.
"The Russian armed forces strictly observe the ceasefire. This does not include strikes of aircraft, missiles, artillery or drones," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a briefing. "Despite the ceasefire, the Ukrainian army has not stopped hostilities against the Russian army."
Ukrainian air force earlier reported Russian-guided bombs attacked in northern Sumi.
The Air Force reportedly conducted a tactical aviation strike at night using guided air bombs, and no missile strikes or attacks on drones have been recorded in Ukrainian airspace. ”
Ukraine's emergency services ministry said earlier in the day, Russia attacked a residential area near the town of Bilopilia, near the border between Sumi and Russia's Kursk region.
