Tyrese Haliburton ended the first-round series of the Indiana Pacers’ first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks and scored a backup layup to win eight points in overtime for Game 5.

Tuesday's showdown between the Pacers and the Bucks was overtime after both teams scored 103 in Indianapolis regulation. After the Bucks rose 118-111, the Bucks are about to force Game 6 after 40.0 seconds left in overtime. The Pacers then finished the game 8-0 and won the 119-118 series.

Indiana's Andrew Nembhardknock hit a third in the Bucks 118-114 with 34.1 seconds left. A poor pass from Milwaukee's Gary Trent Jr. caused Haliburton to score a layup, 17.0 seconds left to cut the Pacers' deficit by two points. Haliburton was fouled in the game and took the Pacers to a point. Trent made another turnover with 10.1 seconds left on the ball. Haliburton scored a layup, giving the Pacers approval, leaving the Pacers with 1.1 seconds left with a 119-118 advantage. Winning the game and series 4-1 is enough.

Halliburton scored 26 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Myles Turner added 21 points and nine rebounds.

Trent scored a team-high 33 points (8 out of 17) in his failed effort. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double, 30 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists.

The Pacers will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round. The Cavaliers swept the heat of Miami.

Antetokounmpo participated in multiple post-match melee

The mood was high after the game. Antetokounmpo was on the court after losing to several Pacers players, but when he gave Bennicket Matthewlin a hug, things escalated and turned into a body. Antetokounmpo hugged his horse behind Matthewlin, which Mathurin seemed to dislike. Mathurin pushed Antetokounmpo away, both of which had to be separated by many players and safety.

Antetokounmpo also had an on-field interaction with Halliburton’s father, John Haliburton. When they exchange words, the two people are closely related. The interaction seemed controversial, but Antetokounmpo walked down.
