AHSAA Super 7 Alabama High School Football Championship Set for 2028
The website of the AHSAA SUPER 7 Alabama High School Football Championship started in 2028, alternating between Birmingham and Mobile. Birmingham will host 2025.
It's time to vote for this week's athletes from last week's sports performance from Tuscaloosa area. The vote will remain open until noon Thursday.
Joseph Jones of the Holy Spirit won the boys poll last week with 70% of the vote, while Emma Kate Dickey of Northridge won the girl poll with 55% of the vote.
All nominees come from last week’s performance. All sports can be considered as long as athletes are on the list of the best performers in the previous week at Tuscaloosa News.

- American Christian Academy Eric Hines The home run of the game in Game 19 of the season led to the ACA's 2-1 victory over Madison Academy as it swept the series into the Class 5A state championship series.
- devil Jakohri Johnson Win the Discus Class 5A State Championship (151.07).
- Aliceville's Javia's McRaw Win the state championship in Class 2A 110m hurdles (15.32).
- Northridge's Sean Stephenson Win the 1600m run (4:10.92) and ranked second in the 3200m run (9:23.21).
- Winfield's Sean Whites Bringed back a Class 3A state championship in Discus (163.05).

Girls
- Tuscaloosa County Karlie Beth Beasley In the 5-2 win over Hewitt-Trussville, all 13 innings were put into all 13 innings, and 10 hits were hit while playing nine. From the plate, she had two hits and one hit.
- The Holy Spirit Charlotte Dickson Winning the Class 2A pole vault (10-06.00).
- Brookwood's Amori Morrison In the mid-regional McDorry (5-2), Spanish Park (2-1) and Helena (8-3), they beat 20 innings to beat 24 batsmen with a 1.05 ERA. From the plate, she averaged .571 to .438.
- American Christian Academy Maddie Rogers Get a single in the ninth inning and runs two runs in a 5-4 win over Pratville Christian Academy.
- Central Mar'rica Trone Claimed to win the Class 6A state championship in the shot put (40-01.50).
