Trump takes power in Washington, declares 'American decline is over'

Trump painted a bleak picture for the country, saying he was taking over a government facing a "crisis of confidence," adding that a "radical and corrupt institution" had left the country "in disrepair." He said the federal government could no longer provide essential services and claimed the situation at the southern border was out of control.
