As Republicans look for ways to expand Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, some Republican lawmakers involved in the process have come up with the idea that the top earners in the U.S. can see increased tax revenues in order to reduce for lower annual wages.
In his case, the president is sending signals that he tends to agree.
“You know, they’re going to say, ‘Oh, that’s horrible.’ What you’re doing is, you’re going to give up some tops to put people in the middle and lower income, which is really a reallocation.
"I hope to be able to give people a big breakthrough in the lower brackets by giving up something I have."

He also noted that the move was just "good politics", refuting the comparisons made by some political experts on a term of Republican President George HW Bush, whose commitment to Republicans defied the Republican commitment that they would not have "new taxes" after the 1988 election victory, accused of Bush's failed reelection efforts.
Bush (Bush Sr.) then faced the deficit, Bush (Sr.) eventually reached a deal with Democrats to raise taxes.
“A lot of people say don’t do that because you have a bush statement about “Read My Lips”. But he was lost by Ross Perot, and he didn’t lose because of that statement,” Trump said. "I actually think it's a good politics to do it where the rich give up. It's small - like a point - but they give up to make people benefit from lower incomes."
Trump looms as a "big and beautiful bill" deadline
In an article on his truth-clarifying social platform earlier Friday, Trump put forward a more cautious tone for alleged concerns that his willingness to increase taxes on the highest-income people could cause him trouble in the election like Bush SR did.
He complained that Democrats would point this over and over again to make him discredit. But Trump still argues that Elder President Bush lost more due to the loss of taxes, adding that while Republicans probably shouldn't increase taxes on the rich, he would be fine if they did.

“Even the 'tiny' tax issue of the rich, I and everyone else would be generous in accepting it to help low- and middle-income workers, which is radical left-democrat lunatics would scream, ‘read my lips, ‘read my lips,’ ‘fable’’ read my lips,’ George Bush’s faded of the ogge by t the Elder is said to be socializing on Friday, and his age group is said to have paid for him.”
"No, Ross Perot made him pay for the election! Republicans probably shouldn't do it anyway, but if they do, I'm OK!!"
