President Donald Trump pardons former Republican Governor John Rowland
Trump also sentenced prison for notorious Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover, a White House spokesman told Fox News Digital.
Rowland was released from federal custody in 2018 after being convicted of election fraud and obstruction of justice. That was his second prison after his 2004 federal corruption conviction.
In July 2004, Rowland testified less than half of his third term as governor, rather than before the Special House Committee investigated. That year, he admitted his role in a paid plan that included $90,000 in luxury flights, a Connecticut-based Oxford Airlines to Las Vegas and Florida.

In this case, he served in federal prison for 10 months and was arrested for several months.
Trump also commuted to Larry Hoover's verdict.
Hoover, the co-founder of Chicago gangster disciples, has been serving his sentence at a Super Max Prison in Colorado.

He was initially imprisoned for murder in 1973 and later convicted of running a criminal business. When convicted in 1998, Hoover was sentenced to 200 years in prison for killing drug dealer William "pooky" Young.

He later gave up on his crime and sought to reduce his sentence. It is not clear when Hoover will be released from prison. At a meeting with Trump in 2018, Kanye "Ye" West ran for Hoover's freedom.
"So, it's very important for me to make Hoover stand out because in another universe, I'm him," West said. "And I have to go and let him free because he's doing well inside Chicago, like how I'm back in Chicago, it's not only on stage, but on stage, being an entertainer and having a whole voice that's forced to be a specific party."
Trump also pardoned rapper Kentrell Gaulden, Louisiana-based artist NBA Youngboy, who was convicted of using weapons as a felony and was released from prison earlier this year.
