Trump Golf Club says bad health checks are "political motives"

President Donald Trump was a victim of a "political motivational attack" after claiming to have a "conditional satisfactory" score on a routine health check.

the Somerset County Department of Health gave Trump's Bedminster Golf Club a score of 32 out of 100 points, and cited 18 food safety violations during an initial inspection that took place May 6. The inspector rated the club's kitchen as “conditionally satisfied,” meaning that the establishment needed to fix significant issues with their operations before a random, follow up nspection to fix their “C” grade.

Forbes’ first report included comments from inspectors, the “Person in charge” (PIC) (in this case, chef Andy Kotsky) “failed to prove knowledge of food safety” and lacked a manager-level certificate indicating that they had passed the proper training. In fact, the inspector wrote: “At the time of inspection, no one was certified at the facility (A) food manager level.”

Other violations include the lack of soap and tissues, the washing of hands by staff next to the sink, the sign of "employees must wash their hands", expired milk in the refrigerator, the stored raw meat, the risk of other prepared foods, improperly stored items, other stored items and other disinfection methods, all risk of other prepared foods, and other hand sanitizers, and the infringement of old bathrooms.

During the inspection, some of these issues were resolved, but other issues were not resolved until the follow-up review conducted this week (the club rating was 86/100).

There are still some problems. Inspectors mark that certain food preparation surfaces are not properly cleaned and disinfected and that “temperature control” is required to avoid bacterial growth.

In a statement The New York Times, "It's obviously nothing more than a politically motivated attack," said Bedminster general manager David Schutzenhofer.

“We have never seen this inherent hostility in the health department,” Schutzenhofer added. “We operate one of the most perfect golf facilities in the country and we are very proud of our standards of cleaning, safety and hospitality.”

Given the president's infamy that he threw his meals into the room in anger, it is forgiven for doubting that food safety standards are not the highest meaning of the Trump Organization.
