Trump allies suggest Biden hide cancer diagnosis

WASHINGTON - The wave of bipartisan sympathy for Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis has begun to fade, leaving Donald Trump's allies with advice to cover up his condition while he was in the office to create his fantasy that he was still working.

Don Trump Jr.

On Monday, he posted a darker message: "Everyone is covering up! Who is running the country? We need accountability!"

President Trump and his magazine campaign have long accused Biden of being too skilled to serve, and a group of loyalists supported him to cover up the harsh reality of voters, and his team denied his allegations.

Biden, 82, suffered from an invasive form of prostate cancer, reigniting old allegations particularly inappropriately within his inner circle and within the scope of Democrats.

New reports suggest Biden’s decline is more obvious than before, and protection advisers mislead the public’s health.

The shocking news about Biden’s illness, coupled with the damage to Biden’s credibility, is his fitness, a fire of unfounded speculation that he knew he was sick and covered up until his resignation.

"In fact, I think it's sad.

He added: "Someone didn't tell the truth. … It's a big problem."

Vice President JD Vance told reporters on Monday that he hopes Biden will “recover correctly.” But Vance then spins to the familiar conversation point of the Trump world: “We do need to be honest and honest, whether the former president has the ability to do the job.”

R-Okla. Senator Markwayne Mullin called the timing of Biden's announcement "interesting", indicating that it was an attempt to "disperse the American people."

Former Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn. In the 2024 Democratic primary against Biden, he also suggested that the former president revealed his diagnosis for strategic reasons to uncover the latest round of attacks on his abilities.

"I think this was announced this week," Phillips told the New York Times. “Otherwise it will be difficult to pass.”

Biden didn’t reveal much about the diagnosis, except for the social media post on X that thanks people for their “love and support.” His office issued a statement saying that cancer has surpassed the prostate, but the disease can be treated with treatment.

As president, Biden has received regular physical certifications and is constantly monitored by the White House medical team. Given the care and attention he received, the advanced state of the disease surprised some medical experts.

Oncologist Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who served on the Covid Advisory Board of Biden’s transition, said on Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the cancer may have “grown there and spread” for years.

“It’s a bit surprising for many of us oncologists that he didn’t get diagnosed earlier,” said Emanuel, who is not part of Biden’s personal medical team.

A former Biden aide asked to speak frankly anonymously, saying that if he answered some pressing questions, the former president would be better served: Why was cancer late, doctors tested it earlier, and what is Biden's recovery prospects?

"Last week, President Joe Biden discovered new findings of prostate nodules after suffering increased urinary symptoms," a statement from Biden's personal office said. "On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (grade 5), with bone metastasis. This represents a more aggressive form of the disease, but the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive.

A Biden spokesman said Monday there was no information outside the announcement on Sunday.

Several doctors who have not yet treated Biden told NBC News that the diagnosis will not affect Biden's ability to serve as president.

"Prostate cancer is the life of many men for years," said Dr. Jesse Mills, director of the UCLA Health Men's Clinic. "Even if he is still president today, it will never have any impact on his governance capabilities."

Dr. Michael Stifleman, director of urology oncology at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey, said Biden’s cancer diagnosis was completely separate from his abilities (as it has to do with his abilities).

"I don't think prostate cancer should have had a cognitive impact on him," he added.

Dr. Herbert Lepor, a urology oncologist at the Grossman School of Medicine in New York, NY., said that while many factors are at play, most men in the early stages of advanced treatment can fully function in a variety of identities.

Although Biden's political career has been completed, if Republicans can insist that the highest-level Democrats know Biden is sick and cover up the allegation, his party can pay the price in future elections.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, former White House physician and Trump loyalist R-Texas, posted on X, wants Biden good and suggests there is no evidence that Biden's doctor may intentionally hide information.

“It’s incredibly missed, but the truth is that his doctors are more concerned with assisting with political cover-up than providing world-class health care.”

Some Biden critics pointed out that in 2022 he mentioned he had cancer, describing it as a clue to explain his current disease. However, at the time, a White House spokesman clarified that Biden was referring to skin cancer that had been removed before taking office.

Steve Schale, who led the Super PAC in 2020 for Biden, rejected Republican advice that Biden's latest disclosure was part of some sort of conspiracy.

"People can talk about other things they want, but I don't know there is any connection between those two things," Shalai said. "Just because what the Republicans say doesn't mean it's actually one thing."

When asked about the release of public information about his prostate cancer diagnosis, Shalai pointed to other presidents who have faced health challenges.

"I mean, he's no longer the president. He doesn't need to share more than he wants," Shalai said. "I have no reason to think that not only will he find this, but they're working on it."
