Trent Reznor, Jeff Toyne won top honors at the ASCAP Screen Music Awards

Trent Reznor, Jeff Toyne, David Fleming and Nainita Desai won the ASCAP Composer Choice Award at the Performance Rights Organisation's annual Screen Music Awards held in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

Reznor co-wrote his tech-driven music with long-time partner Atticus Ross, earning Film of the Year honors for his tech-driven music. Luca Guadagnino's romantic drama starring Zendaya scored earlier for the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the highest-scoring award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

Toyne earned TV score of the year and TV theme of the year for the music of the Apple TV+ comedy drama Palm Royale. He has won Emmy Awards and Composer and Lyricist Awards for his series of themes.

Fleming won the documentary of the year for the music of the Disney+ show Jim Henson Idea Man, which was also the Emmy Awards winner last year. Desai received the video game of the year for the fantasy adventure game Kenzera: The Story of Zau.

The Composer Choice Award is selected by the ASCAP composer and songwriter community and is unique among the prizes offered by the American Performance Rights Society.

Among other ASCAP screen awards, Andrea Datzman won Best Box Office Movie for Pixar’s “Inside Out 2”, while Jeff Cardoni won top web TV series honors for his work on the CBS sitcom “Young Sheldon.”

John Sereda won the Best Cable TV Series Award for his music, for his musical Call the Heart, and David Vanacore received the most performing themes and honors, including Survivor and Hell Kitchen.

ASCAP also endorsed several composers in the first-rate series category: Bear McCreary of Amazon Prime's Lord of the Rings: Ring of Power; Michael Abels' "Sergeant" for Disney+'s Star Wars series; Jamie Jackson and Waz's work on Apple TV+'s black comedy "Bad Monkey"; and Rupert Gregson-Williams' score, Josh Kear and Meghan's trainer's theme is Netflix's mystery "The Perfect Couple."

Winners of the first-rate film award include Hans Zimmer's World War II drama "Blitz", Lorne Balfe, the action thriller "Book with you", Amelia Warner, the Biography sports film "Young Woman and Sea" and Siddhartha Kosla's Amelia Warner for Siddhartha Khosla for The Romantic Drama Drama the The Idey of You of You of You of You of You.
