This traveler backpack is made primarily from Filson’s signature tin and rugged twill, which are extremely durable wax cotton that also resists water. Other materials on the backpack include cotton leather-lined shoulder straps and adjusting belts, grippers and zippered brike leather. In short, everything you touch feels strong and durable.

Inside is a padded laptop sleeve for a 15-inch computer, a large main compartment and an internal zippered bag for securing valuables. Outside is a quick access snapshot bag that can be expanded with the brass buckle on the side.

We are also a big fan of the backpack look. The sturdy style provides adult energy for the bag and can be elusive when buying a backpack. The orange color scheme (steeper at 50% off) is particularly fun, but for most people, a low-key tan color scheme (30% off) may be easier to wear.

The backpack was rated very high by the customer, with 4.2/5 stars and 127 reviews. "That's exactly what I want," said one critic. "This bag is basic, strong, well-made, beautifully colored and of great value. It will last forever."
