Tory Lanez's legal team demands pardon after jail stabbing

Tory Lanez's legal team called on Gov. Gavin Newsom to pardon the rapper or sentence a few days after being stabbed this week, while claiming new evidence of shooting Megan Thee's stallion in the rapper case.

Lanez's real name is Daystar Peterson, who is currently sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of three-shooting charges in the 2020 shooting, which left Meg's real name Megan Mete, injured bullet fragments on his feet. Met told the court that Peterson had yelled "Dance, bitch" before shooting her. Peterson pleaded not guilty during the trial and was filing a sentence.

His son was airlifted to the hospital Monday to treat his injuries, but his recovery was “very good” after the “drive-free attack,” Sunstar Peterson, the rapper’s father, said at a press conference in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday in a press conference in downtown Los Angeles.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Peterson was stabbed at 7:20 a.m. Monday, further noting that authorities have begun an investigation into the incident. Peterson's representative said he was stabbed 14 times, including seven people in wounds, four times in the torso, two people in the back of his head, and both of his lungs collapsed. Peterson was also stabbed under the left che bone, "his chin was opened", Sunstar Peterson said Wednesday. Peterson said Peterson breathed again.

Peterson's representative said Newsom should release Peterson on the grounds of stabbing, noting that "if he did not pardon and release quickly, he might never leave." Sunstar Peterson called on President Newsom and Trump to take action in his speech.

In addition to the health update, Sunstar Peterson and other Peterson representatives have repeatedly stated that the rappers have “never been fairly tried” and claimed prosecutors manipulated evidence to convict, specifically calling on former Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon.

His team claims to have received new evidence, and Walter Roberts unites the People’s CEO Caesar McDowell said he is the team’s lead advisor. Harris was in the car with Peterson and Pete when the incident happened.

Roberts claimed that the bodyguard heard a conversation and Harris said she fired the gun when Peterson knocked it down. James was not a spokesperson at his press conference Wednesday. Roberts said the team has not yet gone to the office of current Da Nathan Hochman.

Pete's lawyer Alex Spiro thr.

"Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers, and his case was properly ruled on his case through the court system," Spiro said. "It's not a political issue, it's a violent attack case that is resolved in the court."
