Selmer, Tennessee, severe injuries ripped the entire town in a powerful EF-3 tornado a month ago.
The tornado's winds of 160 miles per hour were strong on April 3 and could chop up good homes and businesses. The McNary County Emergency Management Agency reported that the tornado damaged 332 buildings. Of these, 108 were completely destroyed.
The master said that the thrift store that Jesus cared about was completely lost. The roof and back wall of the store collapsed. Only about 30% of the goods can be saved.
"This is the main location where families and everyone need something," Mayor Sherry Inman said.

Thrift Store is a nonprofit organization that builds tiny homes across the street for those in need. The tornado damaged all the small houses, but the owner of the thrift store said no one was completely destroyed.

Inman estimates that the tornado caused an estimated $30 million in damage. There is no cleaning schedule, but she said it may take a year. About 10,000 tons of natural debris were taken to the county landfill.
"It's devastating. It's something you just try to always prepare, but it can't," Inman said.
The weather incident caused five people in Selmer, including Jamarcus McGowan. He died two days before his 16th birthday, Jaleiya Bryant-McGowan.

"Two days before her 16th birthday. She is identifying her father's body. On her 16th birthday, we are burying her father," said Brittany Bryant, the teenage mother. "When you go to a funeral, they put on makeup, they fix you, they fill you up, you look more like yourself. When you identify someone, especially after something so terrible, it looks a lot different."

McGowan, 39, lives in a trailer park on the Tornado Direct Path. His family said his trailer was "bending like a roll of paper." McGowan's 2012 Dodge Charger is the only thing he can survive in a tornado. The teenager's family wants to repair his father's damaged car.

Most of the damage to the car is cosmetics, but families expect it to cost about $10,000.
