Tom Aspinall offers UFC Ultimatum in the latest update to Jon Jones battle

Tom Aspinall accepted his approach to territory that needed to fight Jon Jones to "continue" as heavyweight unification continues to dodge the British.

Aspinall has had a temporary UFC title since November 2023, and even retained it in July 2024, without the chance to challenge Jones who holds a regular belt.

In fact, Jones, 37, has repeatedly said that he doesn't want to face Aspinall, 32, who runs out of patience.

I think it's just money, around him. Whenever he wants it, whenever he does, I'll fight on money, but I think it's money."

"I just think at this stage of his career, his career was great. I just think he was 37, 38, but he had a million miles of time. His body was hurt a lot and he caused a lot of shots to the head. It's not what I said to him, I'm sure it's the reality, and Jon all knows it's the reality.

"When you put him in the case of ... and I'm not going to blow my own trumpet, but if you look at the statistics, I'm actually the most dangerous person in the UFC. When you put him in his career with someone with those qualifications, I think Jon is a smart guy who realizes he wants to compensate for that.

"I'm bored with it, I've had enough. We either need to fight or I need to keep going and do other things."

Jones played the last time in November, stopping the heavyweight large sternum with an impressive spin back kick. This round happened 12 months after Jones suffered a pectoral torn in October 2023.

After Jones was injured, Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich won the first round of knockout in the interim title battle in November 2023. He then defended the temporary belt with a rare move in July 2024, eliminating Curtis Blaydes to preserve Manchester's gold. In this result, Jones defeated Miocic and should have established a heavyweight unified turn, but it continued to dodge Aspino.

The American was a two-time lightweight champion before Jones won the heavyweight belt in March 2023 and he was considered the greatest fighter in the division's history.
