Timothée Chalamet was fined for riding his bike to the premiere of "Unknown"

Timothée Chalamet's "Total Unknown" global press tour went viral when he rode a Lime electric bike to the London premiere of the acclaimed Bob Dylan film. But it turned out Chalamet had not parked his bike correctly and he was fined £60, he revealed while promoting the film on French talk show Quotidien. The fine is equivalent to US$73.45.

"It's eco-friendly!" Chalamet said when asked about his decision to ride an e-bike to the premiere of a blockbuster movie like "Unknown." The actor later admitted that it all came down to traffic jams. In order to arrive at the premiere on time, he rode a bicycle instead of taking a car.

The actor's press tour for "Total Unknown" was filled with memorable moments. In December, he appeared as a co-host on ESPN's "College GameDay," then took the social media spotlight by showing off some blonde highlights to recreate one of Bob Dylan's most controversial looks media attention. The press tour is good for the film, as "Unknown" is one of Searchlight Pictures' top-grossing films in recent years, grossing $51 million at the domestic box office.

Chalamet earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the film. He was nominated for Best Actor at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and BAFTA Awards, making him a virtual lock for an Oscar nomination in the same category. This will be Chalamet's second career nomination for best actor, following his first for "Call Me By Your Name."
