Timberwolves with the best third quarter become playoff history

After finishing in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors, the Minnesota Timberwolves performed the best in the team's playoff history.

It was Minnesota's highest winning rate ever, as they won the third quarter 39-17 title. The +22-point difference shows the dominance of the Timberwolves in the third quarter.

At halftime, the Warriors led the Timberwolves 60-58. It was named one of the most competitive second-half, but the Timberwolves evacuated with a great third-quarter.

Anthony Edwards performed well in the third quarter, scoring 16 points alone. He himself almost surpassed the Warriors, who had only 17 in third place.

Timberwolves performed well on both ends

While most people would point to the Timberwolves' third quarter 39 points, they should be praised for their defensive performance. It's a wonderful defensive stance from Minnesota as they prevented the fighters from building the rhythm.

The Timberwolves dominated their runs at both ends of the floor with a 23-4 record in the third quarter. It was an excellent run when everyone was locked, and they shot almost every shot from the perimeter.

Edwards are outstanding players in scoring, but Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels have a great defensive performance. They show that the Timberwolves are not only a great offensive team, but players can also change the game by locking in defense.

Timberwolves are a terrible team when locked

No team wants to fight against the Timberwolves, especially when they are locked. Edwards is the biggest name on the team, but he has elite-backed actors, full of solid role-players.

Julius Randle is his co-star and he is one of the toughest showdowns in the league. He can play Ball against almost any defender, which opens his way to score or play for his kick passes.

Led by playoff head coach Chris Finch, the Timberwolves peaked at the right time, which should warn other teams in the Western Conference on the playoffs.
