The internet is buzzing and NTR JR is happy about it. As a trailer for the upcoming Yash Raj movie spy movie War 2, the "RRR" star once again won the gold medal, becoming a viral feeling throughout India.
The trailer for "War 2" dropped on Tuesday, which included a heavyweight showdown between NTR JR and Hrithik Roshan. It has proposed about 30 million views across languages for X and 3 million views on Instagram.
"War 2" also plays the lead role of Kiara Advani in the heroine, marking her entry into the universe. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his work on the fantasy adventure "Brahmastra", which made it his first foray into the high-octane spy thriller genre.
"Being an actor is really a blessing because you can experience a lot of unconditional love from people," NTR JR said. "It's a very precious and rare feeling and I'm really lucky to have the same feeling in War 2. This YRF Spy Universe movie shows me a whole new avatar and I am very funny to portray me, and I'm overwhelmed by the positivity and love coming from the country every quarter."

The Spy Universe, created by producer Aditya Chopra, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, starts with "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012) and "Tiger Zinda Hai" (2017), and continues with "War" (2019), Roshan and Tiger Shroff. These were followed by “Pathaan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and “Tiger 3,” both in 2023. “Alpha,” starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the first female-led film in the universe is due after “War 2,” followed by “Tiger vs Pathaan,” featuring both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
In the Tiger series, Salman Khan plays Avinash Singh Rathore (aka Tiger) who belongs to Indian intelligence agency Raw, and Kaif plays Zoya Humaini of Pakistan ISI. In "War", Roshan is the agent Kabir Dhaliwal of Rogue Rag and is dressed in his Protégé Khalid Rahmani. In "Pathaan", Shah Rukh Khan plays exiled Raw Agent Pathaan and Padukone ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.
Tiger has an extended cameo in "Pathaan", which also features Colonel Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), who first appeared in "War" and in "Tiger 3." The character Pathaan, like Kabir Dhaliwal, has a cameo in "Tiger 2".
"War 2" is scheduled to be released worldwide on August 14 and will be available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
