The United States rejected the UN Security Council resolution and called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Jerusalem. France, Britain, Russia and China all supported the resolution, which received 14 votes in favor and one vote against, meaning the Council failed to pass the resolution.
"Many members of this committee still refuse to acknowledge that Hamas can end the conflict tomorrow by surrendering and putting down weapons. It is unreasonable for the United Nations to still not label Hamas as a terrorist organization," the United Nations said.

Shea also noted in her speech that the Security Council could not “reward Hamas’ stubbornness” after terrorist groups rejected multiple ceasefire proposals.
Hamas was not condemned in the draft resolution, which only included the request that the Gaza terrorist group release the remaining 58 hostages.
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon thanked the United States for its vote on the resolution.
"We thank the United States for being on the right. We stand on the side of truth, justice and moral clarity. Thank you for your refusal to give up the hostages and for the lies that legitimize the resolution," Danon said in a statement.

Israeli ambassador at UN officials condemns the UK, France, Canada aid statement
The British ambassador to the United Nations Barbara Woodward to the UK defended her country’s decision to vote for the resolution, saying “the unbearable situation in Gaza needs to end.” She said the UK was “decided to end the war”, condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza and calling on the Jewish state to ease restrictions on humanitarian aid.
Anne Bayefsky, director of the Tulo Institute of Human Rights and Holocaust Institute, slammed the resolution and its "obscene equation between hostages who have suffered hunger, torture and execution over the past 19 months - and Palestinian prisoners". However, Bewsky believes that the resolution is related not only to the UN attack on Israel, but also to the plunder of members of international institutions at President Donald Trump.
Bayefsky told Fox News Digital: "There is no doubt an attack on the US and the British president, especially the French and the British, who are trying to use the United Nations to take the sidelines and devalue the United States."
Shea also warned the world of body. "It is shameful to participate in this performance process when asking serious questions about the practicality of the United Nations. The Council should not be used in this way. The Council must maintain a higher standard."

Earlier on Wednesday, Danon issued a statement on the resolution, saying it “destroyed” humanitarian aid efforts and “ignored the reality of reality.”
"It ignores a party that is still in Gaza that endangers civilians: Hamas. The groups that hijack trucks and store aid are in their interest," Danon said. "If you care about the people of Gaza, stop protecting those who initiate this war and continue to prolong the war. If you care about aid, make sure it reaches civilians rather than terrorists."
Ultimately, Danon said the resolution “betrayed the person it claimed to protect.”
