One of the world's largest clubs has reached the Europa League final. In a year when their transfer spends over £230 million, they have one of the biggest budgets, arguably the Europa League favorite, finishing third in the group stage and being the only unbeaten side in all three European matches.
It sounds simple. Manchester United is Manchester United, and that's not the case. The Premier League faces the Spurs' 16th side, the 17th team in the Bilbao exhibition. Manchester United ranked 21st in the Europa League when they fired Eric Ten Partners. They have three managers reaching the finals, lagging behind Portugal, Norway, Czech and France teams. Harry Maguire has the 91st minute equalizer and the 121st minute championship. They left late to secure victory against Viktoria Plzen and the Rangers and even defeated Lyon later. Time and again they fell into ignorant flirting, standing on the verge of victory.
They do everything they can in England: in Europe, they are a team that will never lose, and can find ways to win - the prolific side. The truth is, Manchester United have scored 18 goals in the last five Europa League games, more than they have scored in the past four months in the Premier League. All of this is when they try their best to omit the best prospects for the European team.
But then, the dramatic ending against Lyon was presented by pseudo-forwards: Kobbie Mainoo and Maguire, with a midfielder and a defender thrown out, some might say, better than the expert forward. That was just the second 5-4 victory in Manchester United's history. The first one was earned by Busby Babes, and the second was offered by a rather small team in the last game on British soil in 1958.
But while United are in trouble in the historic domestic season, Manchester United offers some of the right echoes in Europe. The late goal, a comeback, and all the drama that led to the mysterious incident of the club remained on Thursday night.
But, like their opener, the finals were Wednesday. It was a wrong start to the home club Twente FC Twente FC Twente FC Twente FC Twente FC in Old Trafford against ten partners. Jack Butland was signed by United in 2023 to score points for them, although he is now a goalkeeper for the Rangers and hit a corner in his own net, an embarrassing misfortune, not a reason for celebration.
The knockout stage won a series of goals and celebrations at Old Trafford. Fernandes' hat-trick against Sociedad was a late goal against Lyon in seven minutes, with four against Lyon in the match against Bilba Olympics.
There are magical moments: Maguire suddenly transformed into a sparkling winger, setting up Casemiro's opener in San Mames, with Mason Mount's excellent 50-yard finish in athletics at San Mames, Manuel Ugarte building a defender assist with Bilbao. Lyon and United dominated the first 45 minutes of the first 45 minutes of the Amorim play - they led the control of Bilbao with 3-0.

Mainoo and Maguire, like Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 21st century, became rescuers. They have been keeping Manchester United's season and in every round it has been on the edge of no silver, no money saving. Now, they are in Bilbao, in a season of disaster, returning to the Champions League.
