The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) took a rental flight from Texas on Monday and parked in Honduras and Colombia, thus riding 64 illegal immigrants who chose to deceive themselves back to their homeland.
In an article on X, the Department of Homeland Security said that all participants who chose to leave the U.S. receive the same benefits as any illegal alien who deceived himself using the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) home app.
"They received travel assistance, which is a $1,000 stipend and reserved the possibility of one day returning to the United States legally," DHS said.
The Department of Homeland Security also shared a video showing the incident leading to the first flight, showing families preparing to leave Houston, where they were greeted and provided food, games and stuffed animals for the children.

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to establish the first ever self-alternative program that incentivizes illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the United States for free flights and cash bonuses.
The Homecoming Project authorizes government-funded flights and provides funds to illegal immigrants willing to deceive themselves.
When Trump announced the signing of the order in a post about the Truth Society, he said the plan would eventually save taxpayers “billions of dollars” of dollars.

"We are making illegal aliens leave the United States as easily as possible. Any illegal alien can simply show up at the airport and get free flights from our country," Trump said. "As long as it is not here, offenders can book free flights to any foreign country. You can go anywhere you want."
The Department of Homeland Security said a $1,000 stipend will be provided to immigrants a few days before the executive order was signed. The department said that would be 70% cheaper for U.S. taxpayers, as DHS currently costs more than $17,000 to arrest, detain and deport someone.
"This deportation bonus will save U.S. taxpayers billions and billions of dollars," Trump said.

Illegal immigrants are encouraged to use a CBP application to arrange their deportation. The same app under the Biden administration was used to speed up the appointment of immigrants at official ports of entry before putting them into the United States, which was stopped on the first day of Trump's second term.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem shared an article on the first “hometown” flight on X, suggesting people in the country take advantage of the program.

"If you are illegally here, use the CBP Home app to control your departure and get financial support to return to your homeland," Noam wrote. "If you do not, you will be fined, arrested, deported, and will never be allowed to return. If you are illegally in this country, please immediately deceive yourself and reserve your chance to return to the law, the right way."
