Great iPad Deals (2021)

Released back in 2021 alongside the iPhone 13, the ninth-generation iPad was a dated entry-level tablet from Apple that, despite being discontinued, was still capable of performing everyday tasks well. The ninth-gen model originally started at $329 with Wi-Fi and 64GB of storage, which arguably makes the newer 10th-gen model a better deal if you don't need a home button or a headphone jack, as it now starts at $349 and often sold for less.

The previous-generation iPad has been heavily discounted for a long time, but it's become increasingly difficult to find in most configurations. In fact, we'd recommend picking up the base 10th-generation iPad, which is just $10 more than the lowest 2021 iPad price we've seen so far. That said, Amazon and Best Buy are selling the 256GB upgrade for $399.99 ($80 off). It's not the best deal we've seen considering it's been as low as $280 before, but it's still a bit cheaper than a comparable 2022 model.

The previous generation model is still worth considering

The latest generation iPad uses an A13 Bionic processor and a 12MP wide-angle camera with Center Stage, a feature designed to keep your picture sharp and centered during video calls. The tablet also inherits many features from its predecessor, such as a 10.2-inch display, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the home button, and a Smart Connector for connecting to a smart keyboard.

It's also compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil and the company's Smart Keyboard. Even though it's been discontinued, it's the only iPad you can still buy with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Great iPad Deals (2022)

Although the newer 10th generation iPad Even though it launches in late 2022, it's still a great tablet - one that we think is the best value for most people (after Apple's price cut). The latest iPad modernizes the design, switching to USB-C, unified bezels without a home button, a side power button with a fingerprint sensor, and a larger display, but does away with the 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the past, you could typically buy Apple's latest entry-level iPad for $349 ($100 less than its original launch price), which is now the suggested retail price.
