Texas demarvion points Jerry Jones' grandson ranks 0

More and more old teammates are getting help, who happen to be the grandson of the Dallas Cowboys owner.

Dallas Cowboys defender Demarvion crossed the week's reveal of how he landed the coveted No. 0 jersey, a key auxiliary to an unexpected source: Paxton Anderson, grandson of team owner Jerry Jones.

Speaking to a reporter at the denim factory, he said he reached out to Anderson to help advocate for his jersey conversion. “I called Paxton and told him I needed his help to push it to the edge,” said exaggeratedly, smiling. “He made sure the right people have heard of it.”

Jones’ grandson Paxton Anderson joined the Texas Division I Division I in 2020 after his outstanding high school career at Highland Park and served as a teammate of Demarvion while at Austin. Anderson has been part of the Longhorns roster in the 2023 season and graduated in 2024.

The NFL has started allowing players to wear 0 last season, making it a popular choice among players looking for a fresh start or a unique identity. Missed his rookie sport in a knee injury, he said the number is a new chapter in his return to the court.

Many Dallas Cowboys fans believe that owner Jerry Jones and the team’s marketing department will keep the second-ranked jersey on hold to avoid confusion with the Double-Zero “00” Mascot Rowdy wore in promotional materials and appearances. But, as Patrik Walker of Dallascowboys.com reported: "This is never actually true."

Although Jones initially called No. 0 "Rowdy's Number" and rejected Demarvion's request to wear it last season, the real reason for the delay was not branding that protected the mascot, but due to other internal considerations such as evaluating which player would be suitable for new numbers that have never had new use. Rowdy continues to wear "00", a number that NFL players can't use, and more and more people are now the history of the first Don't 0th place cowboy player.

It is expected to win a third-round draft pick from Texas in 2024 and is expected to play a major role in the Cowboys’ defense this season. He missed the entire rookie year due to the ACL tear. In its first appearance last week of last season, Overhshown previously appeared for the Cowboys No. 13. The former Longhorn scored 11 tackles, two QB hits, one tackle, lost tackle and sacked the Cleveland Browns.
