Taylor Swift's Camp Grand Slam in Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni's Case for "Taboo Clickbait"

A Taylor Swift spokesman said Friday that attempts to summon the pop star as a witness to Blake Lively and a "design" of Justin Baldoni's case to use the singer's "name to attract the public interest."

TMZ reports that Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman sent a subpoena to Swift in a lawsuit involving the 2024 film "End With Us." Friedman did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday night.

Lively's representatives also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Swift’s team rejected the idea that she would have any relevant information and should not be involved in legal tangles.

“Taylor Swift never stepped on the clip of this movie, she wasn’t involved in any actors or creative decisions, she didn’t score, she never saw editing or taking any notes on the movie, she didn’t even see “End With Us” until weeks after the public release, she traveled globally in both historic travels in 2023 and 2024,” she said, she said. ”

Swift made licensed music for the film.

"Given that her participation was licensed for a song for the film, and 19 other artists did it for it, the document is intended to use the name Taylor Swift to attract public interest rather than focus on the facts of the case," the spokesperson said.

The legal battle between Baldoni and Lively began late last year, accusing him of sexual harassment during the filming process after Lively filed a civil rights complaint against her co-star and director. She also accused him of revenge after raising questions about his on-site behavior. Lively then sued the film’s production company Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and others, accusing them of engaging in “a well-crafted, coordinated and resource-rich revenge program to silence her and others’ claims.

Baldoni's lawyers called the allegations "totally false, outrageous and intentional mean" and were accused of engaging in the smearing movement.

In December, Baldoni sued the New York Times after publishing an article in the newspaper detailing the allegations of Lively. The era of first reporting complaints has always relied on its reports. The lawsuit is underway.

In January, he also filed a lawsuit against Lively, her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, who represented Leslie Sloane and Sloane’s PR firm. Baldoni claimed that the parties engaged in defamation and disregarding contract claims.

He is seeking $400 million and a jury trial.

The trial is scheduled to be held in New York in March 2026.

Swift was included in the headlines for the case after Baldoni filed a 179-page lawsuit, including examples of alleged text messages between him and Lively.

Swift is not named in the suit except for a text message that mentions "Taylor". In the text of the lawsuit, she is called "Big Element Friend".

Baldoni's team confirmed to NBC News that Taylor mentioned in the lawsuit is Swift and a long-time friend of Lively.

"If you start watching Game of Thrones, you'd be grateful that I'm Khaleesi, just like her, I happen to have a few dragons," the lawsuit states. "For better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons protect the dragons I'm fighting for. So we're actually all benefiting from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You'll also assure you."
