The United States and China have reached an agreement to significantly reduce tariffs Each other's goods were imposed a few weeks ago. The decision came after trade negotiators from both countries met in Switzerland over the weekend. In the first 90 days, U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods will be reduced from a minimum of 145% to a base interest rate of 30%. Meanwhile, China's tariffs on U.S. goods will be reduced from at least 125% to 10%.

President Trump left his four-day trip to the Middle East this morninghis first major foreign visit in his second term. His journey, including a stop in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, is expected to be no longer brokerage peace but more involved in reaching commercial deals. In these deals, the Trump administration is talking with the Katari administration about accepting luxury Boeing 747 aircraft. The new aircraft can be used temporarily as Air Force One.
