Taiwan TCCF’s Lin Chi-Ling Set Award for Women-Centered Project

International supermodel and actor Lin Chiling set up a dedicated award at the 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Festival (TCCF) to get involved in film and television financing.

Chi-Ling’s Future Manufacturer Award will offer TWD500,000 ($16,500) for three selected works in the feature film, animation and documentary categories, totaling 1.5 million ($49,500).

The award will specifically support original works centered on women’s issues, reflecting Lin’s commitment to strengthening women’s voices in the industry. According to organizers, the initiative “invites content creators to convey a gentler perspective through their images and share love and hope with the world.”

The TCCF, organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), has targeted a significant expansion of its 2025 edition, which will be held at the Taipei North Exhibition Center from November 4 to 7. The event’s marketing platform attracted major European sponsors, positioning it as one of Asia’s most important content industry gatherings.

In addition to Lin’s new awards, the influential Asia Pacific nonprofit Gold House will sponsor dedicated awards for the first time. The French central country DuCinéma et al. Image Animée (CNC) continued to work with Taicca to provide a $30,000 bonus for a selected project and provide resources to support entry into the European market.

The Civile des Editeurs de Langue Française (Scelf) in France will also continue to work with the TCCF to showcase the "Shot the Book!tccf" conference. The program aims to increase the visibility of global story content, expand cross-border adaptation opportunities, and promote deeper exchanges between the Taiwan and France content industries.

The 2025 sales program will feature extended selections across categories, with feature film submissions increased from 12 to 20 while maintaining 10 regular series selections, and adding a special themed conference titled “If Romance Comes Again” with a focus on innovative romantic projects. The “Stories” segment will grow dramatically from 20 to 38 options, responding to the surge in demand for original content in the Asian market.

TAICCA Chairman Homme Tsai noted that TCCF is entering its sixth year and “has become a key platform for global industries to discover Mandarin and Asian content.”

Taiwan Mobile also signed a memorandum of understanding with TaiCCA to provide a two-year business content creation talent program for the team selected through TCCF Pitching, and provided financial support for more than $3 million ($100,000).

Last year’s event attracted 600 submissions from 50 countries and received guidance from high-profile industry figures, including “Shogun” producer Miyagawa Eriko.

Submissions for the 2025 TCCF promotion are now open until July 11, with discounted admission until June 15.
