Sza entered the comments section on Wednesday to defend artist Megan Thee Stallion and as fans re-called to release Tory Lanez. Lannis was sentenced to shooting Megan in the 2020 confrontation.
In an Instagram video posted by Alicia’s luncheon, he wrote by @theluncheonlawyer, whose biology said she was a criminal defense attorney, the luncheon criticized the recent press conference where Lannis’ legal team claimed there was new evidence in the case. The luncheon urged Lannis' attorneys to "tell the court" instead of pulling up media stunts and reminded those who watched Lannis "convicted and imprisoned by California," rather than Megan.
Sza responded to the luncheon statement and supported Megan in a comment posted Wednesday: "Density!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked that PPL was totally comfortable bullying a woman who was proved to be the victim of assault." The Grammy Award winner emphasized her suspicion: "Like it's stupid for anyone else to see you wherever you can see you?"
Earlier this month, Lannis was hospitalized after stabbing another inmate at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachabe. At a press conference after the incident, his legal team claimed they had a new witness who he had advanced, saying Meghan's former best friend, Kelsey Harris, was the shooter.
In a statement sent to Rolling stonesMeghan's attorney Alex Spiro dismissed the new witness claim. "Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers and his case was properly sentenced through the court system," Spiro said. "It's not a political issue, it's a violent attack case that is resolved in the court."
Lanez, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison in December 2022, shot Megan Thee stallion on two feet on July 12, 2020. A man witnessing the shooting testified that he saw a "very excited" man "fired fire everywhere."
In a Tiktok post, Meghan responded to Lannis's new evidence claims. "At what time, you will stop letting me live again and get shot by the Conservatives!?" she wrote. "When will the Conservatives and your fans stop lying?"
Megan directed his fans to continue harassing her, a conviction from the Los Angeles jury. She continued: "The facts are facts, he did, it was proven in court, it's not without new fucking evidence, you guys say the same shit on years of Conservatives, please leave me alone, you a fucking demon."
