Sylvester Stallone has issued a warning to his fans after a fake trailer for The Godfather Part 4 went viral.
Stallone, 78, commented on the fan-made video creation on social media.
"What's going on? Haha, this can't be taken seriously!" the Hollywood actor wrote on Instagram with a laugh. His post included two photos of Stallone, one of him smoking a cigar and the other of Stallone holding a gun.

The makers of the fake The Godfather 4 video trailer have sent a message to viewers explaining how it was made.
"Please note that this video is a concept trailer created purely for art and entertainment purposes. I carefully incorporated a variety of effects, sound design, artificial intelligence technology, film analysis, and other elements to bring my vision to life ”
Fans were quick to react on social media and support the idea of Stallone starring in another "Godfather" movie.

"Actually, this is (probably) a good idea, why not???" one comment read.
Another fan wrote: "I look (so) fast and so excited."

"This would be the best news!!! Perfect!!! Let it (happen)," one social media user suggested.
While the famed actor is best known for starring roles in "Rocky," "First Blood" and "Tenet," he had not previously had the opportunity to work as an extra in the famous wedding scene in "The Godfather."

"I went to Paramount and said, 'Can I be an extra in the wedding scene?'" he told Empire Magazine in 2022.
"They said, 'Yeah, we don't know if you're that kind of person.' And I said, 'I'm not the kind of person who hides behind a wedding cake and plays around?'"
Despite the rejection, Stallone went on to play a mafia-related character in Taylor Sheridan's drama The Kings of Tulsa.

The release of Stallone's fake "The Godfather" trailer comes as he is one of three legendary stars named as Hollywood ambassadors by President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump announced the appointment of a special envoy on Thursday aimed at boosting Hollywood business.

Trump wrote on his Truth social platform: "It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone as special... ambassador."

"They will serve as my special envoys with the goal of taking away much of the business Hollywood has lost over the past four years," he wrote in part.
Trump added, "These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears and I will follow their advice. This will once again be the Golden Age of Hollywood, just like it was for the United States of America!"

In November, Stallone called Trump "the second George Washington" when introducing the 47th president at an America First Institute gala.
"We're dealing with a truly mythical figure. No one else in the world could have accomplished what he accomplished, so I'm in awe," the actor said.
“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea he was going to change the world because you can imagine what the world would be like without him. Guess what? We have a second George Washington. Congratulations! "
