As the United States shifts its attention to Super Bowl Lix in New Orleans, we will proudly launch the Military 250, a unified national movement that marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps. This initiative celebrates military history and enduring values that make America great: service, sacrifice, and pride in citizens.

Before the American Patriots declared our independence in 1776, the founders convened an army, navy and marines who fought and sacrificed to win our freedom. So, before celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, President Donald Trump recently formed a White House Task Force To coordinate the program, we want to honor the services of those who play a role in achieving our independence, and to take us on a course to become the country today.

The Military 250 Movement will show how everyday people’s actions enhance the backbone of the United States, which will focus on critical moments in U.S. history.

Over the next 18 months, the journey toward these historical milestones is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the past of our nation, respect the contributions of all Americans, and look forward to the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond. In these and more, the Military 250 reminds us that patriotism is more than just a concept. This is a practice that stems from our daily actions.

When the U.S. Army announced a record of recruitment, the Military 250 was a challenge for every American: How will you advance this legacy of service? For military families and veterans, this may mean coaching others through local civic leadership opportunities or through veterans service organizations. For others, this could mean volunteering, voting or even serving as a pollster.

To honor our past and to draw a new course for the next cutting-edge new course.

Our veterans are honored to be invited by the National Football League to roam the media on Super Bowl Lix. When we launch the Military 250 on the largest stage in the United States, take a moment to think about how to give back to so many countries. Ways to find services – whether through a local veterans organization, your nearby school or a national charity you care about.

The Military 250 Movement will show how everyday people’s actions enhance the backbone of the United States, which will focus on critical moments in U.S. history.

The movement is not just a commemoration, but also a reminder that patriotism requires more than waving the flag on Independence Day. It's about embodying the courage, service and solidarity that has defined our nation for 250 years. As President Ronald Reagan reminds us, “Freedom is a fragile thing, and it will never be more than a generation from extinction.”
