The New York Knicks did it. After 25 years of vacation, the Knicks will once again enter the Eastern Conference Finals.
It was in Game 6 of New York's second round of NBA playoff series, where New York beat defending champion Boston Celtics. The Knicks will now face the Indiana Pacers in the next round, with the series winner reaching the NBA finals.
ESPN analyst and renowned Knicks loyalist Stephen A. The famous sports company did not hesitate to make bold predictions about the upcoming Knicks Infantry Series.
"I think this has written seven games," Smith declared. "The Indiana Pacers don't take elites into consideration at least when it comes to defense, but they're certainly offensive. They can put points on a bunch and can stop when they need to stop. They're a balanced team.
“You won’t look at their team saying superstars, but they have to be respected.”
Smith continues to praise Tyrese Haliburton, questioning anyone who still labels the All-Star point guard as "overrated." ESPN Broadcasting Corporation also pointed to Myles Turner and some other players on the Pacers, who he believes will cause problems for New York.
"They're well balanced," Smith said of the Pacers. "They're unusually well-guided by Rick Carlisle's championship, and they have no problems with the New York Knicks' game."
"…So the New York Knicks will have to show up. I think they will have to be more efficient offensively. I think they will have to be more consistent in defense to win this series."
“This has written seven games and I believe the series will boil down to Game 7 at Madison Square Garden to get the NBA Finals right.”
Smith no longer chooses the winner of this series, but there is no denying where he is.
Anyway, it seems like NBA fans are really enjoying the real enjoyment in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The two teams were courted in their first game at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
