With deadlines for real ID implementation in less than a week, some states and some may be better prepared than others.

DMVs across the country are reportedly working to meet demand, with some implementing Saturday’s real ID incident and extending dates within a week.
The New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles (NJDMV) website has shown "0 dates" for the actual ID service on its website on different days in the past few weeks.

The real ID rejection of Americans may boil down to a surprising factor
A TSA spokesperson shared that New Jersey is indeed one of the most residents of passport holders.
"We are well prepared," TSA agent administrator Adam Stahl told Fox News numbers in an interview. (See the video at the top of this article.)

In Nebraska, there are 1,551,554 driver’s license and ID holders in the state, 1,545,300 people with real ID cards, and only 6,254 unqualified driver’s licenses.

Local Maine lawmaker and Secretary of State Shenna Bellows recently demanded a phased approach requiring travelers to receive warnings without a real ID card.

"We release about 112 real IDs per hour across all branches, but we know that from April 1, only 27% of Mainers have that real ID," the Maine News Center said in a news conference Thursday.

Starr said the enforcement of a real ID card was a "social effort".
"We are working closely with each airport...Each airport is unique and they have different dynamics, configurations, waiting times. So we work very closely with them."
Maryland and the District of Columbia report that 99% of eligible residents are compliant.

Kentucky senators raised concerns over the hasty rush to obtain a new ID, demanding an extension of the deadline.
Twenty-eight state senators wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, urging an extension of the May 7 deadline.

"Despite significant progress, Kentucky is simply not ready for a complete implementation... This has also led to limited appointments and long waiting times for many regional offices across the state," lawmakers wrote.

Starr said he has seen the country “really focused on enrollment.”
“They have been very supportive and helpful, expanding enrollment hours over the weekends and unconventional times to ensure we can increase compliance growth,” he said.

Stahl warns that if a traveler does not have a real ID or other acceptable ID, such as a valid passport, it may be "probably easy to wait time".
He added that in “in some rare cases, boarding is (possibly) refusal”.
