Starting Sunday

Penn State forward Yanic Konan Niederhauser was one of the best-choice performers at the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp on Sunday at Chicago, Illinois.

The annual scouting activities include 5-on-5 matches, intensity and agility testing, shooting training, measurement and other on-field practices. Players compete to demonstrate their overall skills and abilities in front of Wintrust Arena’s team executives, scouts and coaches.

The invited players were divided into four teams to play, each group playing on Saturday for the first time. The selected top players will be invited to the draft and will follow the G League elite training camp this week.

Rookie Wire studied five prospects in Sunday's performance. The group expects a great opportunity to continue to stay in Big Windy City.

RJ Davis, North Carolina

Davis ended the G League elite training camp with 13 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 steal in the second melee game on Sunday. He scored five of 10 goals from the field, including two three-pointers, and 15 points on the field in 20 minutes.

The former ACC Player of the Year showed his traits as a senior playmaker and promoter for the offense while shooting timely shots for his team. He is one of the top defenders in the game and is likely to do enough to advance to the combine.

Mackenzie calculates Indiana

MGBAKO completed another huge performance in the G League Elite Training Camp and scored a game-high 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He scored 4 of 8 from three-point shooting percentage in 24 minutes with a 101-98 victory and 4 points from the free throw line.

The 6-foot-8 standout played some of the best basketball in Chicago after 19 points and four rebounds on Saturday. As a result, he may win the call from the combine and have the opportunity to continue to name himself.

Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Pennsylvania

Niederhauser continued to perform well at the G League elite training camp on Sunday, scoring 14 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one shot. In the last 22 minutes of action, he scored a perfect 6-point 6 with a 101-98 loss.

The effort came after Saturday's 17 points, four hits. He may be the top player in the two-day game and helped him improve his draft pick in front of executives, scouts and coaches attending Chicago.

Lachn Urbrich, Illawarra Khawks (NBL)

Olbrich scored double-digit on Sunday, with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. He once again showed off his ability to do dirty work and hit the glass at a high level when scoring in the paint.

The 6-foot-11 Australian was 42 minutes in total on the Chicago court. He may make enough invitations and continue to show off his game with some of the top prospects in this year's draft.

John Poulakidas, Yale University

Poulakidas scored a high of 16 points, a rebound, an assist and a steal in their second game on Sunday. He shot 6 from the field in 20 minutes of bench defeating the bench with a 92-73 victory, including 4 innings of 3 points.

The 6-foot-6 guard is one of the last prospects of G League Elite Camp and has made a strong performance in Chicago. He showed off his game, scoring and defensive abilities and could be one of the prospects for the combine.
