The standard charter flight appointed Yusuf Demiral as its global head of data, analytics and AI Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB).
This newly created position will allow Yusuf to take charge of bank WRB data, analytics and AI strategies throughout the customer journey.
He will work closely with the marketing, digital sales and customer experience teams to support the overall strategy of the chief customer office.
Yusuf will join Standard Chartered on July 7, 2025 and operate in Hong Kong.
He will report to Samir Subberwal, global head, wealth solutions, deposits and mortgages, and chief client officer.

Yousuf has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry.
Most recently, he was the head of the Data Analysis and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Group for Wealth and Personal Banking in HSBC.
In this position, he is tasked with driving data platforms, advanced analytics, and CRM capabilities for HSBC's retail and wealth banking operations in a variety of products, segments and channels. He leads a global team of more than 1,000 people worldwide in the company’s more than 20 markets.
