Singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen continued to criticize President Donald Trump on Wednesday, who released the six-track digital expansion (EP) that performed last week in Manchester, England in Manchester.
"Boss" includes four songs from the 31-minute EP, "Hope and Dreamland". These songs include "Where Hope and Dreams", "Long Walk Home", "My Ruins City" and "The Bell of Freedom."
All four songs were recorded live on May 14, 2025, when Springsteen publicly slammed Trump.
Springsteen said during the introduction of "Where to Hope and Dreams" that it was delighted to return to Manchester, calling for "the power of justice in times of danger, music, music, rock and roll".

"In my home, the United States I love, the United States I write about, it has been a beacon of hope and freedom for 250 years and is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonable government," he said. "Tonight, we ask all those who believe in democracy and the best experience in our America, rise with us, raise your voice against authoritarianism and let freedom ring."
Springsteen had another political rave about Trump and the U.S. government before the E Street band kicked into the song "My Ruins City."
"There are some very strange, strange and dangerous S--now there right now," Springsteen told the British crowd. "In the United States, they are persecuting people to use freedom of speech and the right to express dissent. This is happening now. In the United States, the richest people are meeting and giving up the world's poorest children's illness and death.

"This is happening," he added. "In my country, they are filled with sadistic pleasures in the pain they exert on faithful American workers. They are retreating from historic civil rights legislation, which has led to a more just and diverse society. They have abandoned our great allies and run against dictators against those who struggle for their freedom."
Springsteen also accused the administration of refunding to American universities that “will not succumb to their ideological demands.”
"They are removing residents from American streets and deporting them to foreign detention centers and prisons without proper legal process," he said. "It's all happening now. Most of our elected representatives have failed to protect the American people from the abuse of inappropriate presidents and rogue governments. They have no concern or thought about what they mean by deep Americans.

"I see that the highly overrated Bruce Springsteen went to a foreign country and spoke terrible to the president of the United States," Trump wrote in a post about the Truth Society. "Never liked him, never liked his music, or his radical left-politics, and importantly, he was not a talented man-just an impatient, nasty asshole who eagerly supported the misrepresented Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent fool, and the worst president we have ever had, who is close to destroying our country.

"The sleepy Joe didn't know what he was doing, but Springsteen was 'stupid rock' and couldn't see what was going on, or could he (even worse!)? It was a rocker's "trimming" (his skin was all in a strait! Then, we'll all look at him!"
Springsteen announced last year that “I will vote on Kamala Harris and Tim Walz” in the presidential election. Harris lost to Trump.
