"Sinner" re-releases IMAX 70mm for May

Ryan Coogler's "Sinner" was once again invited to the IMAX 70mm screen.

Now, in nine selected IMAX 70mm theaters in North America, the film’s limited reissue is available for limited reissue, with tickets set to be released from May 15 to May 21. Warner Bros. quoted “overwhelming popularity and critical response” as the driving force behind the reissue.

"The Sinner" marks the biggest debut of original films since 2019. IMAX alone accounts for 20% of open weekend revenue. As of April 27, "Sinner" had a box office revenue of $122.5 million in North America, and a global box office revenue of $161.6 million was a production budget of $90 million.

"What the audience said, we listened," said Jeff Goldstein, president of Warner Bros. Images Global Release, in a statement. "Ryan released a movie that was championed by fans who appreciated the craft of making movies for this screen-filling format, and we wanted to give everyone a chance to see it, or see it again - in the 70mm iMax. ”
