Simply Asset Finance announced in a press release that its Liverpool office has generated £50 million in funding since its launch in 2023, reflecting what it described as its continued growth in the North West region and its efforts to support SMEs in the region.
In the first quarter of 2025, the number of origins of the Liverpool team increased by 127%, compared with the same period in 2024. The number of customers increased by 38% year-on-year, highlighting the focus of the company's regional strategy is on long-term support for local businesses.
Since its opening, the Liverpool office has funded more than 500 businesses in the Northwest since its opening. There is particularly strong demand in areas including light commercial vehicles (LCV), transportation, construction and manufacturing.
The team has also grown significantly. The number of employees has increased from four to nine, aiming to expand the number of employees to over 20 years of age. The business has been relocated three times in the city to accommodate its growing business and will invest in talent development as a key part of its regional approach.
This includes introducing graduate training programs, attending university career fairs and participating in the next generation network of the rental foundation. To date, four trainees have taken up roles in sales, supervision and management functions.
John Wiles, managing director of Simply Asset Finance, said: “The growth the team has delivered so far, supporting over 500 businesses and providing £50 million in funding reflects the strong demand for tailored financial solutions in the region.
“The city’s affluent talent and entrepreneurship are in line with a simple mission that provides the financial support businesses need to thrive.”
Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, added: "The impressive momentum we have seen from the Liverpool team so far from 2025 shows our scope. We are committed to building this success and bringing tailor-made financing to those who need it the most - no matter where they are - what they are based on."
