Shohei Ohtani doesn't have to show off the Dodge's power in the 18-2 demolition of the Yankees. This time leading: Hyeseong Kim and Max Munchy

LOS ANGELES - Shohei Ohtani had only two singles in the game without Mookie Betts, with the Dodgers playing 18 runs against the Yankees on Saturday afternoon with an 18-2 victory.

There is a common theme in Los Angeles’ series victory against the Bronx Bombers. Unlike Game 1, the dominant NL MVP showed the world the best player in the sport was two home runs, and Saturday’s victory showed off the other side that made the Dodgers so dangerous.

They have incredible depth.

As Bates missed a second game due to a toe fracture, it opened the door for Hyeseong Kim to get his first game of the season. King, who signed a three-year, $12.5 million deal this offseason, is another versatile player on the team, a mouth-watering Dodgers coveted in recent years.

Filling Bates' shoes is not easy, but King makes the best impression. After the walk began in the afternoon, he sent a big blow to the game, crushing two home runs as part of the Dodgers’ second innings six. The Korean private company will continue to add two singles and score 4-4 doubles.

"His nickname is 'Comet'," said Dodge third baseman Max Munchy.

This is Kim Jong Il's sixth professional multiplayer match and the first four-hit match of his career.

He also did it in defense of the ball. First, he turned around a helpless doubles dive while he was hitting, knocking Austin Wells out of second base. Later, he headed to the midfield and threw out the Yankees superstar Judge Aaron in an attempt to extend the singles into doubles in the sixth inning.

"There's just something about him," said manager Dave Roberts. "That kind of youthful enthusiasm, that kind of joy, he's happy to be there. It's great to be on the team and the guys. His energy is excellent. His bat stick is very good. He competed...beat home runs. He played a great game on defense, allowing knack to save knack, doubled the Wells, and played a game on the throwing ball (center).

Not just the Dodgers’ 9-hole batsman, he provided a spark for Los Angeles on Saturday. The bottom of the order is the driving force driving the Yankees.

Munchy has been active over the past three weeks, with the third baseman continuing his recent favorite streak in the Dodgers’ victory over the Yankees. Munchy was one of his best games of his career, beating two three-inning home runs in the second and fifth innings and completing the game with seven RBIs. The first home run was No. 200 in his career.

“It’s cool,” Monsey said of his milestone. "The number of times I'm going to hit my dodge uniform is a sure blessing. It's a number that I'm absolutely proud of. Hopefully I still have more."

The Dodgers superstars don't have to make heavy moves in the Yankees' rout, the combination of King, Monsy, Andy Pages and Tommy Edman with 12 innings in 19-19, four home runs, nine runs and 12 RBIs.

The Dodgers will sweep the 2024 World Series rematch, not only have the chance to make statements to the Yankees, but also to baseball, and they are still the team that beat baseball even if they don't have the best record for the game.

"It was a good club. A good club over there," Roberts said. "So I'm happy with the process and how we play and play baseball."
