Shedeur Sanders Talks about Browns jersey number choice

Shedeur Sanders walked to the microphone on Saturday to talk to reporters with Cleveland Browns Rookie Mincamp. The upcoming Brown quarterback raises questions about President Donald Trump’s decision to speak out in the Sanders NFL draft slides and battle for the starter job.

But the 23-year-old also took a little time to resolve issues about the number of jerseys he will wear in his first season in the NFL.

The Browns released the Jersey numbers as rookie class and free agent on Tuesday. The announcement confirms that Sanders will wear No. 12.

The generous receiver Deandre Carter will wear second place for Cleveland.

Sanders wears a number 2 in Colorado. Sanders may make some guesses to Carter in order to restore his college football number.

"My signing bonus is not that high right now," Sanders said.

Sanders has obtained several famous names, images and similar (nil) deals during his college career.

He expects to rank the highest overall overall ahead of his highly-watched NFL Draft slides. Brown selected the signal caller in the fifth round.

Sheduer ended the 2024 college football season with 4,134 yards. He will join Cleveland's crowded quarterback room, which also includes Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett.

Gabriel, who was selected in the third round, was a 90-minute practice in the small training camp, as the Sanpers.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski praised the two rookies.

"I think it's interesting that we've spent a lot of cave time with these players, especially when we talked about quarterbacks with Dillon and Shedill," he said. "We've had a meeting with them in this building. We've brought them to the drill and then they can wear their helmets and uniforms and see what they can do from the meeting room to the grass."
