She only earned only $130,000 in earning money and had a master's degree. Still, she is looking for a career change because “work is boring”

A 28-year-old woman with a master's degree in business earns over $130,000 per year through her fans alone. She is not exposed, but after years of hard work to build a loyal audience, she runs her own online business full-time. Despite the income, she said she was ready to walk away.

"This job is boring. It's not thrilling at all," she wrote in a Reddit post. "It's hard to date it, I miss socializing. I live alone, work from home, and have no colleagues."

Her story is with many people.

Don't miss:

She explained that she worked nonstop in her twenties and graduated with a score of 21 due to her dual enrollment program and college courses in high school. But when she started her career, she said she hit the wall. The employer would not hire her in an entry-level role, saying she was not qualified. Others told her she didn't have enough experience.

"I applied for thousands of jobs, but I never had one," she wrote. Ultimately, she worked a job that paid only $30,000 a year and worked in a restaurant to survive. "I work about 80 hours a week. I can't maintain it."

That brought her to only fans. She didn’t have a lot of social media attention and avoided explicit content, but she found that she succeeded in producing fetish content. Now she runs over 10 platforms, conducts her own marketing, tracks expenses and manages her own business alone.

"It took years to build a follower, and I don't think anyone knows how hard it is actually," she said. "99% of women make less than $100 a month."

Even with success, she said, the work is still consumed in isolation and emotionally. She wanted to keep moving forward, but didn't want to be financially hit. Her goal is to find a job that pays six figures, providing some freedom and flexibility that ideally allows her to work from home.

She chose real estate, saying it could make her social but still work independently. She also points to her experience in sales and digital marketing.

Mixed answers to her position.

Some people praised her as a homemade entrepreneur who basically runs a solo digital marketing company. "You don't have to say you're a role model for Only Flas. Jobs are marketing, financial management, and the endless paperwork you have to come up with to be...small business owners," wrote a former career coach.

Others point her to sales work in technology, pharmaceuticals or luxury vehicles, where strong communication and hustle and bustle can quickly pay off. Some say she should set up her own agency to help other content creators grow.

A Redditor summed up like this: "You already know what it takes to build something. To build something you are passionate about."

Still, many reminded her that there are very few jobs that offer $100,000 without direct experience. She may need to make short-term pay cuts to achieve long-term career satisfaction.
