Severe details revealed in the deaths of three Washington girls looking for their father to continue

Three girls believed to have been killed by their father were tied up and found in plastic bags on their heads in a remote Washington state, according to court documents obtained Wednesday.

According to the affidavit, support for the arrest warrant of his father Travis Decker.

Decker's ex-wife initially contacted authorities last week when he failed to return to the girl after a visit and she was unable to contact him by phone, according to the affidavit.

The ex-couple was married for seven years but divorced in Decker's ex-wife, which was called civil, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said she told Detective Wenatche, about 150 miles east of Seattle, that there was no problem with the recent visit and described her ex-husband as a daughter's exchange.

"She reiterated that Dick never failed to return to the child," the affidavit said.

The affidavit said Dyke's ex-wife said they agreed to develop a parenting plan last September, and detectives noted that Decker refused to sign the document after he was homeless.

As part of the program, Dick should seek counseling on mental health treatment and domestic violence anger management, but did not do so.

A National Guard spokesman said Decker became an active member in 2012 and moved to the National Guard in 2021, a spokesman said. He is still an active member, but practices about a year a month.

A weekend of searching for the girls within the county led to authorities getting Decker's arrest warrant for suspected detention intervention. Just before 4pm on Monday, his pickup found uninhabited near a campsite west of Wenatchee on Monday, according to the affidavit.

Decker's wallet is inside the car, in addition to car seats, blankets and food, the detective wrote. Two bloody handprints were found on the backsplash, and zipper tie and plastic bags were scattered around the truck and along the path of the girl's body, the affidavit said.

Detectives wrote that they were found an embankment about the length of the football field of Dyke truck. In addition to the bags on the head, the girls also had zipper straps on their wrists or showed signs of zippers tied together, the affidavit said.

The affidavit says the Chilan County coroner actively identified the child as the missing girl. He said that on the phone on Wednesday, Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris refused to provide details about his death because the autopsy has not been completed.

In an online fundraising campaign, a music teacher previously taught girls to describe them as “the real light of this world.”

"It's a darker place without them," she said.
