Sean Penn, Ann Lee, John Legend will be honored at the Social Impact Summit

Core's co-founders Sean Penn and Ann Lee will be honored at the second annual Social Impact Summit on July 24.

The event was co-chaired by the Social Impact Fund, Hollywood Reporter, Aim to inspire accessible and influential philanthropy by breaking down barriers to meaningful change.

This half-day summit will bring together more than 500 cultural creators, production companies, talent agencies, as well as famous figures from the entertainment and creative industries and other regions. The program will explore dynamic evolution, emerging trends in charity and achieve impact through charitable donations and leading challenges.

Pennsylvania and Lee will be respected for their collaboration with the core or community-organized relief efforts as a charity of the year. Lee is CEO of the Global Humanitarian Response Organization, a organization dedicated to empowering and beyond underserved communities in crisis. The organization's plans focus on emergency response and preparation to address climate change and health visits.

The core responds to natural disasters, conflicts, food insecurity, disease outbreaks, climate change and public health emergencies on the five continents. The organization also focused on the ongoing humanitarian response in Ukraine and Sudan, as well as disaster relief and relief and preparation in the Caribbean and coastal United States, and it also held its annual fundraising evening at the Miami Art Gallery in Basel.

In addition, Legend will be honored to be the Philanthropist of the Year. The artist activist has spent more than a decade using his platform, resources and voice to improve equity and opportunity. Through this work, Legend has helped expand the voting rights of people incarcerated and formerly incarcerated in 19 states and mobilize voters through the National PSA, local activities and public advocacy; through the successful efforts to end non-uniform jury in Louisiana, through bail reform laws in New York, Texas and Illinois, and to win major voting initiatives in California, Florida and Louisiana, through the successful improvements in legal reforms to more than two to more than two jurisdictions, now representing more than 50 million Americans; and invest in educational equality, starting with his 2007 show My Movement to expand access to quality public schools and face the school-to-jail pipeline.
